indigo cushions

Cushion covers in indigo and two-sided ecru cotton. The cotton has been dyed with natural pigments in a bath of indigo leaves then knotted to obtain patterns.

It is an ancestral method of knotting very widespread in Africa, but better known in the West by the term " shibori" (traditional Japanese technique) or tie & dye in pop culture.
The cover is sold alone without insert.
