Batik cushion covers on cotton. The technique used here is commonly called "Adire" by the Yoruba ethnic group in West Africa.
The cotton was dyed in a bath of natural mineral pigments, after applying the patterns cast on the fabric with wax. The second bath in hot water melts the applied wax and thus reveals the patterns.
After the knotting method, which is very widespread in Africa, casting wax dyeing commonly called batik is also practiced.
The cover is sold alone without insert.
